Welcome to the Catholic Parish of Tavistock in West Devon and to the church of Our Lady of the Assumption and St Mary Magdalene. We are a vibrant community with parishioners of all ages participating in parish life. Sunday Mass is celebrated at 9:00 am at our church.

Dear Parishioners,

Following the visit of Kirsty Wright, Diocese Head of Property and subsequently consulting the situation with Chair of Property Commission, Fr Petroc Cobb, the arrangement had been reached, that as of now and until further notice the cordoned off area of the church cannot be entered. Thanks to quick response of Diocese, we can now with great joy announce, that the Sunday mass will be said as planned. The entry to the church will be accessible from both sides of the church.  

Please adhere to the health and safety precautions present in the church. If you are planning the visit outside the mass times, please do so in the office opening times, Wed- Fri between 9am-2pm.

If there will be any further incidents of crumbling, the arrangement will be revised.
