Church Development: Support our parish

The best way to support our Parish is through prayer. Please keep all in the Parish in your prayers, especially our sick and those in need.  

At the Offertory of the Mass we support the work of the Parish by our giving in the collection. The offerings support the work of the Church and provide for our priest. If you are a tax payer your gift can earn an extra 25p in each pound through the 'Gift Aid' procedure; so if you are interested, please contact the Parish Secretary.

As mentioned elsewhere, whilst the church fabric is fundamentally sound; there was a need for more than £60,000 to replace the Victorian drains and for some repairs inside the building; and this total was raised in 2011.  Work was completed in October 2012. Since then we have made significant improvement to the entrance through the north tower, with special attention to ensure all can easily access the church using a ramp, and the parish raised the required amount of £16,000.

In 2022 it was recognised that the tower needed a significant amount of work. A grant of some £300,000 was given through central government with the parish committed to raising £40,000 towards the total.  The work on the tower was completed in 2022.

However, there is an ongoing need for maintenance to ensure our beautiful building remains in sound condition.  Therefore we ask all who can to make a Donation, however small; and this can be done by contacting the Parish Secretary.
